The 2008 Chevy Classic
International Convention was held in Rocky Hill Connecticut.
This was the second convention that the Jersey Late Greats joined with Eckler
Chevy Classic's. Last year we wrote that it was a wait and see Convention at
Hagerstown Maryland. Most members feel that there was room for improvement at
Hagerstown.
This years convention also had its pros and cons. Connecticut Classic Chevy
Club did an outstanding job. 180 cars, owners and families visited Rocky Hill
Connecticut.
We still feel improvements are needed to be made by Eckler's in the future.
Eckler's needs to spend more time recognizing the Late Greats. The hosting club
done the best they could with what they had to work with.
Lets run though the five days of the convention.
Day One Wednesday July 2 2008

8 :15am - 4:00pm Mystic Aquarium/ Village Tour
5 :00pm - Midnight Foxwoods Casino

9:30am – 4:00 Essex Train / Riverboat Ride / Shopping
10:00am - Noon Woman's Seminar
10:00am - 4:00pm Pequot Museum
5:00 pm – 7:00pm Welcome Party Barbeque (Pool Courtyard / Grand Ballroom).
Day Three Friday, July 4, 2008

7:30am – 9:00am CCI/WCA State Rep Breakfast.

10:00am - Noon Women's Seminar.
10:00am - Noon Tech Seminar - install - disc brake kit at the wheel
10:00am - Noon Kids activities and movies.
9:00 am - 2:00pm Basketball Hall of Fame & Bradley Air Museum.
10:00am - 4:00pm Sturbridge Village.
1:00pm - 3:00pm Kids Activities
3:00pm ; 5:00pm MANDATORY Judges Display meeting for ALL Show Shine entrants
