I hope everyone enjoyed the Holidays. It always seems like such a busy time of the year. Christmas decorations, Christmas cookies, Christmas cards, shopping, more Christmas cookies, visiting with Family and Friends, more Christmas Cookies, waking up early and staying up late, and more Christmas cookies. Sound familiar? I think we all look forward to taking a break from the routine and enjoying the Holidays. Then at the same time it feels good to get a little rest after all the activity.
At our December meeting we voted in our club officers for 2006. If you couldn’t make the meeting, let me introduce the Jersey Late Greats club officers for 2006.

Yes, that’s right … this is the first time in eight years that Jim Thackeray has not been the Sergeant at Arms! First, thanks go out to Jim for hanging in there and doing a great job for so many years, and second, welcome Lou for taking on the responsibility for 2006.
We also finished blocking out the 2006 Club Calendar of Events at the last meeting. Well, almost. I think we still have a few minor loose ends to tie up, however it looks like we have an excellent start heading into 2006. Be sure to take a look at the 2006 Calendar of Events later in this newsletter.
The Jersey Late Greats Cowl Tag project and Documentation Service was reinstated by a vote of the members present at the December 2005 meeting. As you know the Cowl Tag project and Documentation Service were put on hold last year during the planning process for the Late Great Chevy Princeton Convention. Thanks go out to Verne Frantz for providing the history and some details of the projects. After review of the information and some discussion, there was a unanimous vote to reinstate the project and service. Verne will work with Leigh Humphreys to up-date the club web-site to include the Documentation Service and history of the Cowl Tag Project.
Be sure to mark your calendar for the Jersey Late Greats Annual Banquet being held Saturday Night February 18, 2006. The Banquet will be held at Wildflowers Too Restaurant again this year and the cost is $25.00 per person. Please fill out the Banquet coupon in this newsletter and mail it with your check to Al Bernotas, or bring it with you to the January meeting.
