PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
The Jersey Late Greats celebrated our accomplishments for 2006
at the Annual Banquet last month. The Banquet was held at Wildflowers Too in
Trenton New Jersey, and we were fortunate to have the entire lower level to
ourselves. A Big Thank You goes out to Al Bernotas for making all the arrangements
for the Banquet again this year.
I saw a lot of smiles and heard a lot of laughs this year as everyone enjoyed
the festivities. Mike Berry had the photo show of various club events running
all evening. Steve Calandra did a fine job providing the music, and Maureen
Humpfrys made the special Valentine center pieces. Of course a Jersey Late Greats
Banquet would not be complete without the “Dennery Awards”. John always does
an outstanding job, and got me good this year. I even got a signed copy of the
“The Family Car” complete with Harley Earl’s signature! Thank you everyone for
your help in preparing and helping make the annual banquet a special evening.
Each year the club recognizes one Member for his or her outstanding contributions
to the organization. This year our Member of the Year Award was presented to
Leigh Humphreys. In addition to hosting one of the summer picnic meetings, Leigh
manages the club Web-Site, and I have it from a very good source (Maureen Humphreys)
that Leigh spends hours working on the Web-Site. Both Leigh and Maureen take
care of many of the details that go on behind the scenes. Be sure to congratulate
Leigh the next time you see him.

has put together some pictures from the Banquet that I am sure you will enjoy.
Looking forward to our March meeting, we have a number of topics to cover
including: The Club 2007 Budget, The Road Rally, The Multi-Club Picnic, and
Club Jackets.
There is a flyer for the Multi-Club Picnic included in this newsletter. Be
sure to mark it on your calendars. I look forward to seeing you at the March
