President’s Message
Hi All Jersey Late Great Members, Yesterday we changed the clocks
so WINTER can’t be far behind, but we still have some days to enjoy our cars
before parking them for the winter season. This month’s club meeting on Sunday
November 12th will be at Joe DeNoia’s shop (Complete details in this newsletter).
The meeting will start at 2:00, so please be there by 1:30. This is an important
meeting as it’s the last chance to nominate a member for the 2018 Board of Directors.
Have you ever thought of running for a board position? Well here is your chance
to help set the direction of the club for 2018! The meeting will be followed
by a seminar presented by Joe on “Everything You Wanted To Know About Brakes,
But Were Afraid To Ask”. Joe will have examples of all types of brakes and how
they work.
If you haven’t been to Joe’s shop before, here is an opportunity to see this
first class shop and examples of the work that he turns out. The long range
forecast calls for late PM showers so bring your ride out to the meeting.
Our December 10th club meeting will be back at the Bordentown Community Center.
This is our annual Christmas Party so make sure it’s on your calendar as it
is always lots of fun and a time to meet with other members and enjoy some great
food! Again, this year we will be having our holiday grab bag gift exchange
round robin. Lydia conducted this last year and it was lots of fun. We will
be sending out a flyer indicating all the details and the name of our food coordinator
for this year. Please plan to be there!
Have an idea for a seminar or a remote meeting for 2018? Let Mike Berry know
so he can coordinate it and get it on the schedule. Last year Verne had an excellent
Tech Tip article on “Preparing Your Car for Winter”.
We’ll get him to update it and have it in the December issue of the Newsletter.
We are always looking for new members. If you have someone that is interested
in joining, please bring them to the next board meeting or the Christmas Party.
