It's cold, with a little snow, but is okay with me. I just crank up the heat in the garage a little to keep working on that 60! I hope you are keeping warm and in the garage working on your project so it will be ready for spring.
We made the decision to cancel the January meeting due to the increase of the Omicron Virus. I know many of our members have been vaccinated or have had the virus, but we just need to be responsible and not take that chance. Let's all due our part to keep everyone safe! Hopefully we can keep the February 13th meeting on the calendar and move our program that was scheduled with Tom Merring for January to February.
Tom Merring will be holding not one but two tech sessions. One on rebuilding a two speed windshield wiper motor and a second on troubleshooting a fuel gage. You won't want to miss this meeting! Also, we recently received a call from Steve Calandra about how he came across some Auto Memorabilia and a few parts for our cars. Steve said he would bring what he has to the February meeting to see if anyone is interested in purchasing anything.
We voted on the motion to have all membership dues paid in January. If you do not understand this motion and the amount you will be paying this year please contact Mike Berry and he can get you up to date.
We are always looking for fun events. If there is something of interest in your area that is car related or otherwise, let us know so we can organize that event together. I have received calls about events for the fall that I will be looking into.
So far, tentative plans for May will be our club picnic at the Washington Township Park. In June, Smithville's All GM Show, in July, at the Dennerys. August and the Fall are open for ideas. We can also hold an event at the Community Center. Send me your thoughts and ideas. I'm looking forward to seeing you all in February! Tom Merring has a great demonstration planned for us.
