President’s Message
Greetings to all and Welcome Spring.
Time to dust those Chevys off, fill them up with some fresh petrol, and head
out for a long Cruise. We started the Season off with our own cruise to Denny’s
for a Club breakfast together. Huge thanks go out to our Sergeant at Arms Al
Bernotas for coordinating this event. We actually had six Late Greats come out,
and even more members in their Daily Drivers. Despite Al’s best laid plans,
the seating and service was slow, but that enabled Folks to catch up with each
other. After a decent meal, we headed over to the Bordentown Community Center
for a quick meeting. Some of the headlining topics were finalizing Picnic plans
and a discussion regarding a donation to the Jersey Auto Museum. Please consider
attending our annual picnic, it’s always a fun filled event. If you haven’t
contacted Gerry Thackeray yet regarding the Picnic, please do and tell her what
you’ll be bringing along so we have an accurate headcount for food purchasing
purposes.
Prior to the commencement of the Picnic, there will be a short meeting at the
Picnic grounds. One major item will be to move to a vote on donating Club moneys
to the Museum fund. This endeavor is a worthy one, so please come out for the
discussion and vote. Don’t forget to bring your LATE GREAT out to this event
and make your vehicle preference known! Please be aware that this will be the
Last Business meeting until we pick back up in September. June through August
we will be on the Summer schedule which means no official meetings. There will
be a Barbeque at the Dennery’s on July 13th which you won’t want to miss. Read
your Newsletter carefully during these Summer months for any events that may
be announced by the Club. That’s all for now, hope to see you all and your cars
at the Picnic on May 11th.
Keep ‘em Rollin’ Tom
