President’s Message

"We are all still holding on"

Joe DiNoia offered to open his shop for our August meeting. Do to the lack of participation from members we chose not to hold a meeting in August. With that, I would like to thank you Joe for the offer!

This is a sad time as I write this message to you and it's hard to find the words of comfort. We have lost a long time club member, and friend, Ray Petreshock. A tribute to Ray is in this newsletter. Prayers go out to his family.

The Bordentown Community Center is currently closed through September. Al has asked permission to hold a meeting in the parking lot and the Center has turned us away.

Frank Visco has made the suggestion of a virtual meeting using zoom. I will look into this more in the next couple of months.

Madam Secretary and I made a recon trip to the Bordentown area looking for a park to hold an outside meeting. Al's suggested we checked out two areas at the Bordentown beach, who would think Bordentown had a beach and Mercer County Park. After speaking to a Bordentown Police Officer he gave us a lead on Gilden Park. This is a public park and we should have no trouble holding a brief meeting there. Information and directions are in this newsletter.

If you have any ideas for October, please contact Maureen or I, for we are always looking for new things to do and places to see!

October is also the month we start our board nominations for 2021. I have a suggestion I would like to announce at the September meeting.

"Life is Good"

Leigh
